Artsy – No visitor to Art Basel in Miami Beach has ever left the Miami Beach Convention Center thinking the fair could use some more art—last year’s fair hosted 268 exhibitors—but that’s precisely what it’s getting. On Friday, Art Basel announced that its Floridian fair is gaining a new sector, dubbed Meridians, taking over the roughly 60,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom with about 30 projects (last year, the cavernous space hosted a performance and installation by Abraham Cruzvillegas, presented by The Kitchen). – read more
