Artnet News – This power year in the art world peaked with Christie’s historic showstopper auction, as Leonardo da Vinci‘s Salvator Mundi sold for $450 million to a mysterious buyer, who has since turned out (after some confusion) to be the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, which acquired it for the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
